 Hear Their Stories
Dear Believers in Baptist Children's Home,
9/21/2010
Firstly I greet all of you in the name of
Jesus Christ. I am writing this letter to place on record my deep sense of
gratitude for the very timely and generous support given by you during my hour
of need.
I am Hosea. In 2007, by your help, I
completed the bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from the
University of Medical Technology Mandalay, Myanmar. As it took four years
to complete this course, I received your special support during these years
starting in 2004 to 2007. I especially appreciate and value your kindness
which made a great difference and appeared as a small ray of light in a dark
tunnel in my life. I also praise the Lord for you are a blessing channel
for me.
Since 2008, I have been starting my career as
a medical laboratory technologist at MSF Holland, one of humanitarian
organizations in Yangon, Myanmar. Now I am involving in His service as far
as I can. I have been trying to meet the need of a student in Biblical
School of Technology too. It is my prayer that to be able to meet the need
of others and to bear a good fruit of the seed which you have sown. I want
to be a faithful servant of the Lord.
Thank you once again for your kindness which
makes me to be able to stand on my own feet and your good deeds to the little
ones. God will reward you for all of these things. I will keep
praying for you. May God bless you all.
Yours in His love,
Hosea
Dear
Baptist Children Home,
9/29/10
I would
like to express my heartfelt thankfulness to you for your ministry.
My name is
Hosea M. I was brought up in a very poor family, but a very good Christian
family. Due to poverty, I was not able to attend high school. I prayed to God
with tears, and somehow Timothy found me and took care of me for my high school.
By God’s grace, I passed my high school with good grades and was admitted at
University of Dental Medicine, but there was no way for me to join, no money and
no food. Child care continued to support me for the university. I attended the
Dental Medicine University for six years because of the child care ministry. I
graduated this year in June. I am now working at dental clinic and I am now
able to take care my two sisters.
Last week,
Timothy told me that I was supported by you (Baptist Children Home) and he asked
me to write a thank you letter. After finishing my Dental University degree,
Timothy told me that I was supported by you. How thankful I am. I always give
thanks to God for my sponsors. I can tell you your labor is not in vain.
Because of you and the child care ministry, I am now able to support my two
sisters and I plan to support child care ministry here. If you did not support
me, I would not be able to attend even high school. I am a born again young man
and I will serve my Lord as much as I can through my dental work. I could not
find English words to express my thankfulness to you. May the Lord continue to
bless BCH.

The best tribute I can give to BCH is that they made home as normal as
possible.
BCH prepared me for being a wife and mother.
Mike
I moved to the Baptist Children's Home in 1994 when I was 14 years old.
I came
from a broken home with a single mother
who had a drug habit, among many other problems.
Aside from her circumstances, I was a wreck myself, starving
for a
true, biblical, God - pleasing Christian Home.
Angie
I was born five months after the death of my father. When I was nine, I went to
live at BCH with my six siblings.
Our mom could no longer take care of us.
Saju
I was born in a Hindu home in the state of Kerala. I am the youngest of three
boys.
My father was an alcoholic who
beat my mother. Once he beat her
mercilessly.
Next day, my mother went to her parents with me.
I was just seven
months old
at that time.
Randy
I thank BCH for taking seven kids into care in the 70's. I do not know
where I would be today if it were not for BCH.
What a great ministry!
